What Students Should Know
Standards of Conduct
We show pride in ourselves and our school by:
Showing
respect for adults and each other.
Showing
respect for the property of the school and others.
Keeping
hands, feet, books, and other objects to ourselves.
Being
at our desk on time with everything we need.
Following
the directions of the person in charge.
Upholding
Christian standards in speech and action.
Abstaining
from actions that are harmful to others.
Bringing narcotics, tobacco, alcoholic beverages, or weapons
of any kind to school is prohibited. Suspension and expulsion from
school may be the result of such actions.
Sexual harassment will not be tolerated by either
employees or students. Any incident of possible harassment should
be brought immediately to the attention of the teacher or School
Principal who will thoroughly investigate the matter in confidence.
This includes any unwanted sexual advances, or making threatening
reprisals after a negative response to sexual advances. Sexual gestures,
sexually suggestive objects or pictures, cartoons, or posters, making
or using derogatory comments, slurs, or jokes , or verbal abuse
of a sexual nature, or degrading words will not be tolerated. Nor
will any physical conduct such as touching, assault, impeding, or
blocking movements be allowed. Disciplinary action will be taken
against any employee or student who is found to have engaged in
harassment.
